Antonio Sanchez (1971-Present) is one of the most influential drummers on the jazz scene today. Sanchez was born in Mexico City, Mexico, and moved to the US in the early 1990’s to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Since then Sanchez has played with some of the biggest names in jazz including Paquito D’Rivera, Pat Metheny, and Christ Potter. Sanchez has recorded eight albums as a leader and dozens more as a sideman. He has also won 4 Grammy Awards.
