Biography

Trombonist and singer Aubrey Logan (b. 1988) traverses many genres, with her music encompassing elements of jazz, pop, funk, R&B, and more. She inherits this wide-ranging musical taste from her parents, both music educators. She began playing trombone, and consequently jazz, in high school. Logan adapted her existing vocal talents to the new style, and eventually attended Berklee College of Music for both vocals and trombone. There she studied with trombonist Phil Wilson, and focused mainly on jazz. After graduating Berklee, Logan began recording music with her fun-loving blend of jazz and pop music. She eventually linked up with pianist Scott Bradlee of Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ), who shared her passion for genre-fusing music. Logan has appeared in several of PMJ’s videos, using her talents on trombone and vocals to create jazz covers of popular songs. Aubrey Logan’s most recent project, Standard (2021), revisits classic jazz tunes, but adds her energetic and often comical flair.
