Bio

Bill Evans (1929-1980) was a pianist that helped shaped jazz with his unique playing. Evans’ playing featured lots of full, lush, and wide ranging harmonies that pushed the limits of what had already been done on the piano to that point. Throughout his career he mostly played in trios (piano, bass, drums), but also played as a sideman with many jazz greats including Miles Davis and Charles Mingus. Evans released over 70 albums as a leader.
