Camille Thurman

Bio

Camille Thurman was born in 1986 in Queens, New York. She attended Laguardia high school of the arts, before attaining a degree in environmental science from Binghamton College. After graduating college, she settled back in New York City. She was a finalist in the Sarah Vaughan international jazz vocal competition in 2013, which helped put her on the map at the time. She has since become a full member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, led by Wynton Marsalis. She has associated with a number of accomplished musicians including Tia Fuller, Mimi Jones, Wynton Marsalis, Victor Goines, Sherman Irby, and many more.
