Carl Fontana

Carl Fontana (1928-2003) is widely considered one of the most influential trombonists in jazz history. Born in Louisiana, Fontana spent most of his professional career living and play in west coast. He is known for his lyrical playing and lively swing feel. Fontana recorded over ten albums as a leader and played on dozens more with the likes of Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, and many more greats.
