Conrad Herwig
Conrad Herwig (1959-Present) has been one of most active trombonists on the jazz scene since the 1980’s. Herwig began his career playing with Clark Terry and has gone on to perform with many other jazz greats including Tom Harrell, Joe Henderson, and Joe Lovano. Herwig has recorded over 20 albums as a leader and is known for his unmatched technique and energetic playing. Herwig has been heavily influenced by Afro- Latin jazz and has released latin-jazz tribute to jazz icons such as Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, and Herbie Hancock. Herwig is currently a member of the Mingus big band and co-leader of the Jazz Studies program at Rutgers University.
