Biography

French contemporary vocalist, Cyrille Aimée, is a phenomenal jazz-based singer with a handful of genre outlets under her belt. You’ll hear Gypsy swing, Brazilian Bossa Nova, and latin grooves in the music that she passionately performs. Cyrille grew up in France, but moved to the United States to earn a jazz degree at SUNY Purchase. Her careeer blasted off after winning the Montreux Jazz Festival Competition, and soon after, releasing her debut album “Cyrille Aimée & the Surreal Band”. Not only that, but Cyrille then went on to sweep competitions such as the Thelonious Monk Vocal competition and Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. She’s worked with jazz icons such as Roy Hargrove and Emmett Cohen. Still working as a full-time professional musician, Cyrille has released 8 albums, and has earned a Grammy nomination for her recording of Sondheim’s “Marry Me A Little”.
