Spring and Summer Internships 

Jazz Empowers is looking for interns to join our team anytime from March 2020 to August 2020.   This is a great opportunity for students seeking careers in non-profit management, arts administration, marketing, market research, and social media. While Jazz Empowers is a Nashville based organization with programs across the country, interns will be able to work remotely from anywhere in the United States

Interns will report directly to our Executive Director, and will work with Executive Director to pick Jazz Empowers projects to work on that fit each intern’s skill sets and passions.    Internship will include all aspects of the organization and intern will learn the ins and outs of running a start-up non-profit.   Potential areas that the intern could work in are instructor recruitment, social media, market research, website design (word press), graphic design, video editing, and curriculum development.   Interns will also learn about the issue of education inequality in America and how that drives all of the work that we do at Jazz Empowers. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

-        A Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a degree in music, a related arts field, or business. 

-        A strong passion for jazz, music, and the arts.

-        A conviction to help fight systematic poverty in America.

-        Use of Microsoft Office

-        Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
