Lambert, Hendricks, & Ross
Biography
Lambert, Hendricks and Ross was a jazz vocal trio formed by Dave Lambert, Joe Hendricks, and Annie Ross. The group was formed in 1957, and recorded their first album “Sing a Song of Basie” in the same year. The album was so succesful that Count Basie’s orchestra collaborated with them in 1959 on “Sing Along with Basie”. The group was voted best vocal group in the Down Beat readers poll from 1959 to 1963. They recieved two Grammy nominations, and one Grammy win.
