Michael Dease
Michael Dease (1982-Present) is one of the most sought after trombonists on the jazz scene today. Born and raised in Georgia, Dease moved to NYC to attend Julliard in 2001. Dease has recorded over 10 albums as a leader and has played with many jazz greats including Roy Hargrove, Christian McBride, and Jimmy Heath. Dease is known for his lyrical ideas, warm tone, and articulate playing. Dease currently performs in a variety of settings and is the professor of jazz trombone at Michigan State University.
