Oscar Peterson
Bio
The Canadian Oscar Peterson (1925-2007) is widely regarded as one of the most influential pianists in jazz history. Peterson was known for his work playing and leading many great duos, trios, and quartets over his career which last half a century. Peterson’s playing was marked by his incredible swing feel and lively melodic lines. Peterson won eight Grammy awards and recorded over a hundred albums as a leader, co-leader, and sideman.
