Regina Carter
Biography
Regina Carter began taking piano lessons at the young age of two. Soon after, she was introduced to the violin. She originally studied classical music, but ended up studying jazz at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Regina has been featured on records with artists such as Arturo O’Farrill, Stefan Harris, John Beasly, and Kenny Barron. She has also released several solo albums. Regina was nominated for a Grammy for best improvised solo and has been a Pulitzer Prize jurist twice.
