säje is a Grammy-nominated supergroup quartet made up of 4 women. Sara Gazarek, Amanda Taylor, Johnaye Kendrick, and Erin Bentlage. Their contemporary sound spreads across many genres with a jazz influence. Although this group is fairly new to the jazz scene (debuted in 2019), they’ve been successful at gathering a passionate fan base due to their magnificent music-making. Their first debut composition “Desert Song” received a Grammy nomination in 2020. The group “is rooted in the tradition of joy, curiosity, lush harmony, heart-felt expression, and profound sisterhood” (sajevoices.com). säje continues to grow and work with artists such as Jacob Collier, Terri Lyne Carrington, Ambrose Akinmusire, and more.
