Born in 1998, Samara Joy is a rising and promising jazz singer from The Bronx in New York City. She attended Purchase College and worked with the amazing Pasquale Grasso and Kenny Washington. At only 21 years old, the young Samara Joy won the 2019 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. This accomplishment put Samara’s name out into the world and captivated a large audience longing for more of her buttery, velvety voice. Her self-titled debut album, Samara Joy, has received hundreds-of-thousands of streams in just a few years since it’s release. She’s now an international touring artist, and has performed at acclaimed venues such as The Blue Note and Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola.
